IPM Commodities Pvt Ltd | Interior Design by Internal Affairs Interiors Pvt. Ltd.

Designed and delivered for IPMC—a Monaco-headquartered multinational mining and commodities enterprise—this 5,000-square-foot workspace at Rudramani, Kolkata, completed in 2022, is a profound exercise in global storytelling through architecture.

Internal Affairs Interiors Pvt. Ltd. has crafted an environment where international corporate identity meets refined artistry. The centerpiece of this transformation is the bespoke reception installation, where a meticulously arranged field of vertical metal fins creates an optical illusion. From a carefully selected vantage point, the fins seamlessly coalesce into a detailed world map—a striking visual metaphor for the company’s expansive global footprint and logistical mastery.

The design language remains intentionally restrained to complement this dramatic focal point. A sophisticated international palette of muted greys, warm neutrals, and crisp whites establishes a serene, boardroom-ready backdrop. Clean, uncluttered lines and refined materiality—think brushed metals, natural stone, and acoustic textiles—enhance the sense of order and precision inherent to the commodities sector.

The result is an elegant, contemporary headquarters that does not simply display global ambition but embodies it, offering a quietly powerful environment worthy of a globally connected organization.
